I hope this email finds everyone doing well and staying safe. My focus this month is to provide updates from the Clerk's Office, including our search for summer interns.

My Re-Election Bid

I plan to run for re-election as Clerk of Court for Augusta County. It is also my intent to seek the Republican nomination and then run in the general election on November 7th with all other Constitutional Officers, General Assembly members, and Augusta County Board of Supervisors members.

Augusta County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office Seeking Summer Interns

The Clerk’s Office is once again seeking high school and college students who wish to serve as interns. The Clerk’s Office will provide internship and mentorship opportunities this Summer to students who are interested in Virginia Government, the Virginia Judicial System, or the law.

Virtual Photograph Tour

These are documents from the Elizabeth Fulton vs. James Crawford 1761 Judgement. She sued him for 100 pounds in damages for poisoning her when she was his servant. She became ill and could not work for 11 months.

This is our continuing Augusta County Courthouse virtual photograph tour. This document is Mechanics Liens Dockets No. 1 from the late 1800s. It is interesting to see the cost of supplies in the 1890s. In one of the entries, 800 feet of siding cost $18.00 (Page 135).
