I hope this email finds everyone doing well and staying safe. My focus this month is to highlight positive developments at the Clerk's Office along with resources for small businesses as they prepare to reopen.
In addition, I want to provide you with the newest photos from the Augusta County Courthouse virtual photograph tour.
Clerk's Office Internship
The Clerk’s Office is seeking high school and college students who wish to serve as interns. The Clerk’s Office will provide internship and mentorship opportunities to students who are interested in Virginia Government, the Virginia Judicial System or the law.
The Augusta County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office if very pleased to offer this unique educational opportunity to young people in Augusta County. These internships will allow our young people to see first-hand the work of the Circuit Court and the Clerk’s Office.
Interns will assist the Clerk’s Staff with several assignments and tasks. Interns may be assigned to work with the Clerk’s Staff in the Civil, Criminal, Court Administration, Land Record, Probate, and Accounting Divisions in the office. For those interested in applying to become a Clerk’s Office Intern, they should apply using the link below. Internship candidates will be required to complete an application and submit a cover letter and resume expressing their interest in serving.

Cash Grants for Augusta County Small Businesses Affected by COVID-19
Augusta County announces the creation of a Disaster Recovery Grant Fund to help county businesses who are suffering from the costs of business interruption due to COVID-19. This program will be facilitated in partnership with Staunton Creative Community Fund.Additional InformationThis is week seven of our Augusta County Courthouse virtual photograph tour. This is the Record Room, which is the nerve center of the Courthouse and the Clerk's Office. This is where the public enters to request needed services, and where the public can do research on records and documents.
This is week eight of our Augusta County Courthouse virtual photograph tour. This is the Historic Large Courtroom, on the second floor of the Courthouse. For those coming to court to serve on a jury, as a witness, or as a defendant or plaintiff this is where most court action takes place.
This is week nine of our Augusta County Courthouse virtual photograph tour. This is the Clerk of Circuit Court's Office on the Second Floor of the Courthouse. In the past it also served as Judge's Chambers.
This is week ten of our Augusta County Courthouse virtual photograph tour. This is our Probate Office on the First Floor of the Courthouse, just off the back portion of our Record Room.
