DELEGATE LANDES ACHIEVES 100% VOTING RECORD FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW
RICHMOND -- Delegate R. Steven Landes,
R-Weyers Cave, for the second straight year achieved a 100 percent
voting record for votes taken in the 2008 Regular Session of the
General Assembly, according to records released by House of Delegates
Clerk Bruce F. Jamerson. Landes’ voting record indicates that he
only missed roll call attendance on February 9, 2008, which was a
Saturday pro forma session
that required few delegates to be in attendance since no recorded
votes were taken on the floor . A total of 1,641 votes were taken in
the House during the 2008 Regular Session.
“In the rush of a normal General Assembly
Regular Session it is difficult to be present for every vote, so I am
proud to have achieved this 100 percent voting record on all 1,641
votes taken,” Landes said. “I feel it is my duty to try my best to be
present and voting both in committee and on the floor of the House of
Delegates on my constituents’ behalf.”
Landes represents the 25th House District,
which includes the City of Waynesboro, and parts of Albemarle, Augusta
and Rockingham Counties. Landes is serving his seventh term in the
House of Delegates.
